Cultural Norms Affecting Women
Course Description
This course is designed to lead the student into a deeper understanding of the cultural norms affecting women. it will also map out key strategies for ‘first response’ counseling that encompass wisdom, compassion and healthy relational boundaries.
Course Objectives
… to know and be able to apply the fundamentals of biblical and crisis counseling in a ‘first response’ situation
… to explore strategies for developing healthy friendships, mentoring relationships, group support, and other helps for shepherding women
… to study the affects of cultural morns and relational issues affecting women, including but not limited to:
- emotional issues
- psychological issues
- familial relationships
- socioeconomic challenges
