How Do I Get Started?
If you’ve read this material and are getting the sense that the YLTP might be something God is calling you towards, we’d love to have a conversation with you. Your first step is to have a conversation with your church to talk about what this might look like in terms of ministry and financial impact. If the church is supportive, then there’s a twofold process for enrolling in the program.
First, because the YLTP is a graduate-level program of study, the first step is to get in touch with NBS to have a conversation about your academic qualifications. We will work with you to find the appropriate on-ramp to study, and will bring your qualifications to the admissions department of ACTS Seminaries, who have the final say in admissions decisions.
Second, and if NBS/ACTS gives it the green light, contact Rob Schweyer, FEB Pacific Youth Network Director, to have a conversation about ministry qualifications. Rob will work with you and your mentor to assess your ministry situation, your mentorship arrangement, and your church’s support.
Because this process takes time, we recommend beginning the process in the spring for a September intake. Normally we’d like to have the process well underway by May 15.
We’re excited about your interest in the YLTP, and trust that by God’s grace we will be working together to spread the message of the Gospel and make the name of Jesus famous in our region and through our world. We look forward to hearing from you.
