The tuition for 2017 is set at $530 (Canadian) per credit (beginning summer 2017). The application fee is $100 and is due with the application. The graduation fee is $200 and is payable with the application for graduation (the semester when the dissertation is submitted for examination). There are no other fees for the program at this time. Tuition will generally be adjusted annually at the rate of 3%.
1. International students: For international students a tuition deposit of $9,180.00 (covering the first six courses) will be required prior to admission. Payment details will be provided as the application is processed.
2. Canadian students (or students having a Canadian visa): For Canadian students tuition of $4,590.00 (covering the first semester of courses) is due and payable upon admission and not later than two weeks after the invoice is issued. This can be paid by personal cheque or bank draft in Canadian funds. Details for managing the payment of tuition is provided on the invoice.
Thereafter, tuition fees are due two weeks before each intensive on-campus course session (i.e. March 1 for the April intensive and September 1 for the second and third October intensives.
In the event that a candidate is unable to attend an intensive session, tuition deposit refunds requested by October 1 or April 1 will be provided in full, minus a $100 processing fee. From October 1 and April 1 to the beginning of on campus course instruction, the refund will be 80% of the tuition deposit. Once the in-class on campus course instruction has actually started, the refund will be 50% of the tuition deposit. Once the on campus teaching is completed for a course, no refund will be provided.
Courses in October are offered the last three weeks of the month (e.g. for 2015 this would be October 12-30) and similarly in April (e.g. for 2016 this would be April 11-29).

NBS complies with provincial government regulations regarding the consumer protection of candidates’ deposits.
COURSE REGISTRATION AND WITHDRAWALS
Candidates register for KDMN courses by October 1 or April 1. Registration is not completed until tuition payment is received.
To withdraw from a course before it officially begins (first day of class) candidates must inform the NBS registrar by email by the last business day before the first day of class. For example, if a course begins on a Monday, then a candidate desires to withdraw and receive appropriate tuition refund, must inform the registrar by email no later than 12pm (Pacific Standard Time) the preceding Friday.
To withdraw from a course once it has begun, candidates must complete the “Course Withdrawal Application” form provided by the registrar in order to receive a prorated tuition refund.
