Women in Ministry Conference

Overview   |   Certificates   |   Courses  |   Program Options   |   Application and Tuition   |   Conference

Come examine the biblical teachings of women in ministry, and the contributions of women to the evangelical church, in these engaging seminars. The seminars will provide a holistic picture of women in scripture and as change agents throughout history without picking theological sides. Our goal is simply to present the information thoroughly and respectfully in our limited time. As educated adults, attendees will be encouraged to continue their study of scripture and history to further their seminar learning.

Guest Speaker

Joanne Pepper picDr. Joanne Pepper serves as Associate Professor of Religious Studies at TWU and ACTS Seminaries. She is deeply interested in women and the Bible/Theology, world religions, missions, and Eastern European culture. Courses taught include: Christianity and Culture, World Faiths and Ways of Religion, Global Theologies, and Cross-Cultural Communication. Joanne is married to Slava Petlitsa (an educator teaching Russian and Spanish), and attends Templo Betesda, a Spanish speaking church in Abbotsford, BC. She is an engaging, informative, and often times humorous communicator. She incorporates lecture and small group discussion into her presentations, engaging the learner by creating interest and curiosity.

Who’s Invited?

We desire our audience to be wide and varied – Women’s Ministry Directors and volunteers, TWU and ACTS students, future pastors and current pastors – coming together for the purpose of furthering their understanding of the theology, history, and role of women in Scripture and the evangelical movement.
